How To Remove Rear Door Panel Ford Expedition

This past Monday morning, I went out to get in my truck and go to work. I noticed after I got in and cranked it that the 'Left Rear Door Ajar' message was displayed on the screen. After reading several postings on here and other forums, I sprayed WD40 in the latch.

I've run out of ideas as to what is causing the issue. I've finally had to turn off my automatic running boards as well as remove the fuse for the dome lights to keep from running my battery down. I've also checked the wiring harness from the door in to the cab for loose wires.
